Expert Tutoring Built Around Your Child
Jagjit Uppal founded OOTB Tutoring in Surrey in 2010 with a simple goal: help students understand what they are learning, build strong fundamentals, and achieve better results. He holds a degree in Engineering Physics with an Electrical specialisation from UBC, is a Professional Engineer, and brings more than 20 years of combined STEM, teaching and practical engineering experience.
OOTB is built around a team of carefully selected subject specialists, with students matched to tutors based on their grade level, subject and individual learning needs. Senior-level Math, Physics, Chemistry, English and Calculus are taught by tutors with strong subject expertise and a clear understanding of the BC curriculum.
Every tutor is selected and trained to follow the OOTB approach: strong fundamentals, logical problem-solving, clear explanations, and genuine understanding that lasts. Our goal is to give students the knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills to succeed independently.
Over the years, more than 5,000 students have learned with OOTB Tutoring, with many continuing on to leading Canadian universities including UBC, SFU, the University of Toronto, Waterloo, McGill, the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary.
